Memorizing the Holy Quran becomes the great source of reward for the Muslims and those who memorize the Holy Quran are the eminent people among believers. Some of their privileges are mentioned below: -

• The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Hafiz of the Holy Quran are very close to Allah (subhananahu wa taala - the Glorious and the Exalted).

• The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Hafiz of the Holy Quran are the friends of Allah.

• The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Hafizs are the most respectable people of my Ummah."

• The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) also said that on the day of Qiyamah (Judgement Day), Hafizs of the Holy Quran will accompany the prophets and the pious people of Allah under His special care.

• The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said a hafiz will be rewarded on the day of Qiyamah (Judgement Day), as will his or her parents, and will be granted the ability to intercede on behalf of ten family members.

• The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said the parents of Hafiz will be made to wear a crown on the day of Qiyamah, the brilliance of which will excel that of the sun.

People who memorize Quran are blessed with many more rewards which are mentioned in Hadith. Hafizs of the Holy Book are really the privileged people.
